Face Up at the Cass for World Aids Day

In 1990, students and staff at The Cass staged Portraid, a show of photographs of influential celebrities of the time which were auctioned to benefit London Lighthouse (later part of the Terence Higgins Trust).

Twenty-five years later, Sue Andrews, Reader in Photography at The Cass, rediscovered the pictures in the university’s East End Archive. Inspired, she asked current students to approach some of the original subjects to ask them to sit for new images.
