Heineken focuses attention on ‘The Match’

Heineken has released a new campaign to promote its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League, which includes a madcap film starring a fan who will go to any lengths not to miss the big game…

Continuing the tone set by Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam for Heineken over recent years, in spots including The Odyssey and The Date, this new ad is another complex caper, which places a crazed footie fan out at sea as the big match kicks off. Not one to be deterred though, he gets the entire crew behind him to create an impressive makeshift satellite dish.

The spot forms one aspect of the campaign, which will include a big push on social media and additional films on TV during match nights.
