Ads of the Week

Alongside the great campaigns for Dulux and the Clinton Foundation that we’ve already featured on the blog, this week has thrown up some other advertising beauties to share with you, including work for Converse, Ray-Ban, Earth Hour, Ikea and, um, Tena Men…

First up is this charming short film for Converse, which celebrates the myriad ways we wear the canvas boots.

McBess & Simon bring their appealing graphic style to this new spot for Ray-Ban, from Marcel Paris ad agency. Production company: Passion Paris.

 

It’s rare that we feature radio ads in CR, but this spot for Earth Hour in Australia by Leo Burnett Sydney is a powerful piece of work (far more so than the TV spot that is also in the campaign, which is a little innocuous in comparison). This new Ikea spot from Forsman & Bodenfors is reminiscent of Apple’s classic ‘crazy ones’ spot, but instead of celebrating maverick geniuses, it applauds the ‘everyday heroes’, like coathangers and toilet roll holders, that keep our homes together.
