New D&AD Ad Filter blocks bad advertising

One of the challenges for advertising today is the crappy work that fills up most spaces on the internet and gives the industry a bad name. A solution to this is to block all ads from appearing on your computer, though today D&AD offers up another option: the Ad Filter, designed by BETC Paris, which removes all the naff work and replaces it with Pencil-winning ads from down the ages. The plug-in aims to inspire and entertain, and, crucially, remind people that when advertising is good, it’s actually really enjoyable. As BETC Paris ECD Olivier Apers puts it: “We wanted to demonstrate that people don’t hate advertising, they just hate bad advertising.”
