Pop culture and science magazine 52 Insights is hosting a free event at creative space Second Home in London next month, featuring photographer Maisie Cousins, make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench and Dazed Digital editor Thomas Gorton.
Make-up artist and illustrator Isamaya Ffrench has worked on campaigns, shows and shoots for i-D, Dazed, Chanel, Agi & Sam, Vogue and Camper as well as the video for Kanye West’s Black Skinhead. She has also gained thousands of followers on Instagram for her striking images of creative experiments and works in progress and co-founded clothing label English School. You can read an interview with her here.
Maisie Cousins is an exciting new photographer whose visceral images of the human body challenge traditional notions of beauty and sexuality -her work was recently featured in Gemma Fletcher’s Exposure series for the CR blog and she is number 37 in Dazed magazine’s ‘Top 100’ list of influential artists and creatives.
Ffrench and Cousins will be discussing their work, creative process and life as artists in London on June 23. They’ll also be talking to Dazed Digital’s Thomas Gorton about the creative industries and the role that digital media plays in fostering emerging talent.
Tickets are free and you can register here.
